    Behind the Gates: The Stahl House

    A Historic-Cultural Monument of Los Angeles, the iconic Stahl House nestled in the Hollywood Hills is known for its panoramic views, floor-to-ceiling windows, and mid-century modern design. The Stahl’s purchased the lot in 1954 for $13,500 and hired architect Pierre Koenig to carry out their vision for the residence in 1957. It is open to the public for tours.
